Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup Hemp Flour (Flower Power)
1 Large Onion
2 cups Carrot
2 400g tins Chickpeas (drained)
1 cup flour of your choice (we used spelt)
1 cup Boiling Water
4 Cloves Garlic
1 tbs Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tbs Paprika
1 tbs Cumin
1 tbs Turmeric
1 tbs Oil
Salt to taste
Method:
Soak hemp flour in boiling water and set aside for 15min.
Combine all ingredients into a food processor until properly mixed and has an even consistency. We find it easiest to mix everything else first and add the hemp flour and flour in last.
Scoop the batter into your fry pan or baking dish as big or small as you wish.
If you shallow fry your patties in oil cook them until golden brown on both sides. Or if baking give them 20-30 minutes on 180℃.
These can be served as part of a burger or on their own with vegan aioli or a yummy chutney.
This batch will make 10-20 patties depending on size. And are perfect for freezing if you want to keep some for a quick meal
