Simple healthy energy balls. Full of protein, good fats and oh so Chocolatey. So delicious you would never guess that they are free of processed sugars.

They may be just the perfect afternoon pick-me-up.

      Ingredients:

250g Dates soaked in warm water to soften.

     125g Walnuts

1 Cup of cacao or cocoa powder

1 Cup of Pure Delight Hemp Protein Powder

1/2 Cup of melted coconut oil

     1 Tsp vanilla essence

     Hulled hemp seeds for rolling

     Extra cacao powder for rolling

Makes about 20 depending on size

 Method:

Make sure to drain your dates as you don't want all of the liquid in the mix. In a high powered blender or a food processor, pour your dates, all of the nuts as well as the coconut oil and vanilla essence. Blend them until they are well combined.

You may need to get in there a few  times with a spoon to make sure its mixing well.  Next add in the protein powder and cacao powder gradually. Mixing as you go. Once its all been mixed in it should look like a nice soft dough.

Now the fun bit!!  Get a spoon full of mix and roll it into a ball then roll it around  in either the extra cacao powder or hulled hemp seeds.

They will store well in the fridge for about a week. Although they may not  even last that long.
