Hummus

There's nothing better than homemade hummus! 

Hummus is such a great thing to have in your fridge. It makes for a quick and nutritious snack, especially when paired with veggie sticks. It can be enjoyed as a spread, a dip, a meal or even just by the spoonful.

Not only is it super delicious but hummus is very nutritious. The chickpeas are full of fibre, the tahini (sesame seed paste) is full of healthy fats, the parsley is rich in antioxidants, and our Pure Delight Hemp Oil is high in omega 3 fatty acids. 

 

Ingredients: 

1 tin of chickpeas, drained 

1/2 cup tahini 

1/4 cup Pure Delight Hemp Oil

2 cloves of garlic

1/4 cup parsley 

2 tablespoons lemon juice 

salt and pepper to taste 

 

Method: 

Using either a food processor or a blender, add all your ingredients and blend until a consistency of your liking is formed. You may need to add a little bit of water to help it blend. Pour it into a container and place it in the fridge.
