Hemp Cashew Cheese (Vegan Friendly)

Since becoming a vegan it’s been a little challenging to find a decent replacement.  But we have found this recipe is pretty darn tasty.


 1.5 cup soaked cashews
1 cup hulled seeds
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon lime or lemon juice
3 tablespoons of nutritional yeast 
1 teaspoon salt 
1 teaspoon turmeric


Blend all ingredients in blender or food processor. You can add a couple tablespoons of water to help with blending. Add more or less water depending on consistency you wish. 
Blend until it’s completely smooth much like cream cheese.

Refrigerate to firm it up a bit. The amount of water you add will depend on how firm it gets.

We had ours with some fresh out of the oven rosemary sourdough bread 
put it on whatever takes you’re fancy and try adding different herbs and spices for some new flavours.
